Davie High seniors walk from the high school to the football stadium as they prepare for their commencement ceremony. As is tradition, students walk to the football stadium through a "tunnel" of teachers who cheer them on and clap for them as they pass by.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Hosts 2nd Annual Courts for Christ

On Sunday, March 15, Davie’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hosted its second annual Courts for Christ at Rescue House Church. The event started at 6:00 pm, with games, food, and a space to be in community provided. Even though there was rain, the attendees continued to play outside. The worship and speaking portion started around 7:00 with the student FCA leadership team hosting worship and then the speakers. Worship was led by Ava Jane Tomlinson and Noah Elliott from Hilsdale Church. There were multiple Davie High students who spoke, including Lily Pfaff and Bailey Aderhold. The main speaker was Darius Williams, a football player from Barton College.

Lila Moore is the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Weekly Talon for the 2025–2026 school year, along with being on the Dancing Boots and a Captain of Varsity Lacrosse. She is currently a senior and has been involved in the Weekly Talon since her sophomore year. She traditionally writes News Features, Sports Articles, or other events around the school. She is attending UNC Chapel Hill on a full ride to study Chemistry and Neuroscience. Her end goal is to be a pediatric oncologist.

Sophia McMurray is a staff writer and sports photographer for The Weekly Talon. In addition to this work, she plays on the JV volleyball team and for Champion Volleyball Club and is a member of the leadership team for FCA. She aspires to attend a 4-year university and study journalism to photograph the MLB while her twin brother is hopefully playing for a MLB team.
