With decisive victories from both the Davie High varsity and JV basketball teams in their home opener against Central Davidson, the War Eagles have shown that they are here to play and ready to face the challenges of the upcoming season.
Each match against the Central Davidson Spartans ended with decisive victories for the War Eagles, with both varsity teams ending their games with scores of 59-38 and 57-45 respectively.
The varsity men followed their victory against Central Davidson with a buzzer-beater against R.J. Reynolds Friday, December 10th, resulting in a final score of 61-59. Their most recent contest against East Forsyth High School on Tuesday 12/14, however, ultimately resulted in a hard-fought loss against the Eagles with a score of 57-54.
