Halloween is just around the corner, and people are getting their costumes ready to go trick-or-treating. Here are some of the top ten female presenting costumes you might want to wear this Halloween!

10. Eleven from Stranger Things

Stranger Things has been a staple of Netflix’s content since July 2016, with the latest season coming out this year. Over the past Halloweens many have attempted to dress as Eleven and found it easy to adapt to at least one of her looks from the series. Whether it be her cropped hair, blonde hair, or long brown hair with bangs, almost every girl can masquerade as the impulsively loyal young teenager for a night.

9. Squid Games Characters

Squid Games is a Korean thriller released around September of last year. It quickly took off due to the morally questionable characters and the twists and turns of the plot. The costumes can be worn by both genders with the masks providing anonymity during a crazy Halloween party.

8. The Joker from Suicide Squad

Everyone has seen girls dressed as Harley Quinn, but what if you want to remain covered during the chill of Halloween night? The Joker is the perfect costume for girls of all age. All you have to do is find a suitable costume, pick up a can of green hairspray, and master the classic clown makeup.

7. Dani from Midsommar

Dani in her flower gown is a perfect omage to a new type of psychological thriller that has emerged in the past ten years. It might be a lot of work to make but the costume is totally Instagram worthy.

6. She-Hulk

Painting yourself green (or opting for a very green, very dramatic eye look) is a requirement for this She-Hulk: Attorney at Law-inspired costume, so only go for it if you have a best-in-class cleansing balm at home to take off all that makeup at the end of the night. Pair your green makeup with a simple pencil skirt and a white button-down for peak lawyer vibes.

5. Princess Diana

This year marked the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. Since the production of the Netflix Original The Crown more people have become obsessed with the royal family, making this the perfect classy costume for this year’s Halloween.

4. Starfire from Teen Titans

Starfire has become one of the more unexpected Halloween trends that have emerged this year, as cosplayers have recently embodied the young Tamaranean princess in TikTok videos. This is personally one of my favorite looks however it requires a lot of dedication to perfectly tame a cheap pink wig from Spirit Halloween.

3. Cassie or Maddy from Euphoria

Euphoria has taken the world by storm with toxic relationships, creative makeup, and a rather attractive cast. Even though everyone has an opinion on Cassie and Maddy, no one can deny that being dressing up as them for a night isn’t an appealing Halloween costume.

2. Scarlet Witch from Wandavision

Wandavision kicked off Marvel’s Phase Four and while most of us are still reeling from the death of characters like Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff, no one can deny that Scarlet Witch is one of the most beautiful and powerful superheroes. She serves to remind us that while all superheroes aim to do good, they are still subject to the emotions that make all of us human. She’s a queen and an icon. Anyone who can pull off red would thrive in any Scarlet Witch costume.

1. Wednesday Addams

Most people assume The Addams Family started life a television series in the 1960s, but they actually appeared in a series of comic panels for The New Yorker from 1938. And while some of the younger generations associate Wednesday Addams and the Addams Family with the childhood of our parents, the fascination with the odd aristocratic clan who delight in the macabre has come back, with a release of a new Netflex Original series Wednesday. Wednesday Addams is a frightening and clever little girl that perfectly embodies everything that Halloween has to offer.
