Madi Rogers
Madi holds many leadership positions including being the Co-President of the National Honors Society, the President of SURF, and the Sports and News Editor for The Weekly Talon. She has been an active member of the Dancing Boots for the past four years and has been dancing competitively since elementary school. After high school, Madi Rogers plans to attend a four-year university and major in political science or communications.
Madelynn Keller
Madelynn is currently an active member of the National Honors Society, the Davie High Mock Trial Team, and has been a member of the Davie Dancing Boots since her freshman year. She also holds the Editor-in-Chief of Davie High’s school newspaper, The Weekly Talon. Outside of school, Madelynn has been on a competitive dance team since she was six and has held a steady job at The Animal Hospital of East Davie. Madelynn has also been named an Ambassador of Respect by the Davie Respect Initiative. In the future, Madelynn plans on attending Wake Forest or High Point University to major in sociology with plans of attending law school.
Summer Simpson
Summer Simpson is a captain of the varsity softball team and plays travel softball. She plans on attending Appalachian State University to play softball and study criminal justice and minor in psychology.
Ava Brooke Smith
Ava Brooke has been on the Davie varsity football and competition cheer team all 4 years as well as been a competitive cheerleader for Carolina Spirit Athletics for the last 10 years. Ava Brooke also served as a student ambassador for Davie High School. She plans to attend a 4-year university, continue her cheer career, and major in elementary special education.
Logan Sherill
Logan was a part of the Davie cheer team for 3 years, she cheers competitively at Carolina Spirit Athletics and is a part of Jr. Civitans. She plans to attend a four-year university.
Sarah West Marklin
She’s the fourth seed for Davie’s women’s tennis team. She is the National Honors Society Co-President and Ronald McDonald House Club President. She spends her weekends working at Ketchie Creek Bakery and spending time with her friends and family. She hopes to attend Chapel Hill in the fall to major in chemistry. Later on, she would like to attend medical school to become an anesthesiologist.
Reagan Brooks
Reagan has been a member of the Davie Dancing Boots for 4 years. She is a member of the National Honors Society, and the Humane Society Club, and loves to work with the Soaring Eagles whether it’s in her dance class or during FLEX time. She hopes to attend a four-year university to start her journey in the medical field. She plans to major in either exercise science or biology.
Emmy Sloane
Emmy is the Davie Crazies leader and member of the National Honors Society. She has a passion for working out and has a goal of traveling the world and helping others. She soon leaves for Italy to study abroad. She plans to attend UNC Wilmington or UNC Chapel Hill to major in nursing. Emmy wants to pursue her dreams of becoming a geriatric PA later in her career.
Zoie Galloway
Zoie Galloway is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, The Weekly Talon, and is currently the Head of Social Media for the Debate Club. She was a Junior Marshal. Zoie often volunteers at the Dragonfly House and Davie Cognition. In the future, Zoie plans to attend either The University of Miami, The University of Alabama, or UNC Chapel Hill. She will major in pre-law and plans to become a medical malpractice attorney.
Somer Johnson
Somer is captain of the varsity basketball team and a 4-year varsity athlete. She also plays AAU travel basketball. Somer plans to attend a 4-year university to continue her basketball career and major in business.
Avery Collins
Avery is a member of the National Honors Society and Davie County Humane Society. She loves hiking, skiing, working out, and traveling with her family and friends. Her favorite vacation place is the mountains. Avery has been a part of the varsity cheer team for 3 years! Avery is looking forward to pursuing her dreams of going to Appalachian State University and is planning to major in nursing. Her plans after college are to get her master’s to be a Nurse Practitioner.
Lexi Kulis:
Lexi has been a varsity athlete in cross country, track, indoor track, and soccer. She is a member of the National Honor Society, is on the Executive Council, and has volunteered with the Humane Society Club, Make A Wish Club, the Down Syndrome Buddy Walk, and Davie County Hunger Fighters. She hopes to attend Wake Forest University or UNC Chapel Hill next year and major in marketing.
Riley Almond
Riley is a varsity athlete, a member of the National Honor Society, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is passionate about helping children and plans to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse. She plans to attend UNCW or App State for her nursing degree. Her goal is to one day take a mission trip to India where she will work with an organization and orphanage called Life Givers India.
Keelyn Oakes
Keelyn has played on the varsity basketball team all four years of high school, along with being a member of the SURF Board and a youth philanthropy board under the Davie Community Foundation. She also participated in Girl Scouts and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Stephanie Bueno
Stephanie Bueno is on the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team at Davie and is the Social Media/Event Chair for The Humane Society Club. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to read in her free time. She plans to attend either UNC-Chapel Hill or UNC Charlotte in hopes of majoring in nursing. She wishes to become a travel nurse as her future career and aspires to be a helpful and compassionate caregiver.
Sydney Dirks
Sydney is involved in basketball and softball. She is a 4-year varsity player in both sports. She will be attending Western Carolina University to play softball. She hopes to major in pre-law and then attend law school after receiving her bachelor’s at WCU.
